Abstract
Introduction: Menstrual hygiene personal behavior and knowledge in adolescents is still lacking. This is very important to know for teenagers considering the risks that will occur later. Poorly maintained menstrual hygiene will cause problems one of the mai n causes of reproductive tract infections, urinary tract infections, and has been associated with the risk of HIV infection, cervical cancer, and poor pregnancy outcomes and for its social impact shunned by its friends because of the fishy smell, reduced self-confidence, inhibiting daily activities. Method: The method used in making this literature review is the narrative literature review method. Reference searches through google scholar, pubmed, publish or perish and sinta with the keywords personal hygine, adolescent, "adolescent" and menstruation, "menstruation" and mensgtuiation health management (MKM) "menstrual hyigiene management (MHM)", the articles taken are original research conducted directly by researchers with a publication time span of 2011-2021, articles that provide information about Hygine's personality, and do not take articles below 2011. Purpose: the creation of this review literature is to find out the personal hygiene picture of adolescents during menstruation and the factors that influence their knowledge. Conclusion: Menstrual hygiene or personal hygiene in adolescents is still not good so that correct information is needed so that adolescents can do personal hygiene during menstruation properly. Some sources of information that can provide information about personal hygiene in adolescents are parents, teachers, health workers, and mass media.
