Yustiana S., Afandi M.
Abstract
Conflict resolution is one of the essential life skills for students to have. However, this has not been contained in the elementary school curriculum in Indonesia. This article aims to explain the importance of conflict resolution education and how it can be integrated into citizenship education lessons in elementary schools. Using the critical literature review (CLR) method where there is a critical study from the author, the research steps were carried out using seven stages based on Onwuegbuzie & Frels (2016), namely: (1) step 1: exploring beliefs and topics; (2) step 2: initiating the search; step (3) storing and organizing information; (4) selecting/deselecting information; (5) step 5: expanding the search to include one or more MODES (Media, Observation, Documents, Expert, Secondary Data): (6) step 6: Analysing and Synthesizing Information; (7) and step 7 presenting the CLR Report. This study produces a description of conflict resolution skills that can be taught to elementary school students. These conflict resolution models can be applied in elementary schools and essential basic skills that must be possessed. The study was integrated with Civic Education learning in elementary schools.
