Abstract

To ensure the high quality of the resulting image, a radiographic device must be tested for suitability by an exposure test with the aim of achieving calibration. The X-ray radiographic exposure test is very important. X-rays have large ionizing and penetrating powers so X-ray radiation is very dangerous for the body. Therefore the use of phantoms is very important in the exposure test of a radiographic device that uses X-rays so as not to directly experiment with humans. Making phantoms in the medical world is quite expensive, so resin-based phantoms are used which are easily available in the market. Therefore, it is necessary to know the effectiveness of resin with different density substances as a substitute for human soft tissue phantom in the detection of low contrast objects. Phantom resin with exposed fill is for testing using X-ray radiographic modality. The image obtained is then analyzed. Obtained the higher the current used, the higher the value of contrast and the resulting CNR. Increase in contrast occurs in all objects. This shows that the material used as a resin maker can be stable in changing currents. From the results obtained, the phantoms made are sufficient to be used for low contrast tests on radiographs.
