The Effects of Peers on Early Marriage Incidents: Literature Review

Abstract
Introduction: The problems of early marriage in Indonesia are caused by various factors, such as knowledge, adoption of process behavior, attitudes, education, job status, income, parental upbringing, trust, availability of health care, and peer roles. Objective: To examine the results of peer relationships regarding the incident of early marriage in accordance with previous studies. Method: The method used is a literature review. Article collection using Google Scholar and BMC databases with a selection of the last 5 years. Data collection is adjusted to the specified criteria. Result: From several factors such as predisposing factors, possibilities and reinforcement, it is found that the influence of peers plays a strong enough role for teenagers to get married early because they are involved in making decisions and supporting to marry early from their peers. Conclusion: There is an influence or involvement of peers in supporting other teenagers to immediately get married at an early age.
