Abstract

Background: Corona Virus is a respiratory disease caused by Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). Covid-19 has a psychological impact on the elderly, one of which is anxiety. Lack of knowledge of the elderly causes anxiety that can lower the immune system. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of the elderly about Covid-19, to determine the level of anxiety of the elderly, and to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge of the elderly about Covid-19 to the level of anxiety in the elderly in Pancur District, Rembang Regency. Methods: This research was conducted using a questionnaire as a medium of data collection and the data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. The form of this research is quantitative with cross sectional. Conclusion: the results of the analysis showed that the knowledge level of the elderly in the good category was 33 people (100.0%), the anxiety level in the no anxiety category was 23 people g (69.7%) score <7, the relationship between the level of knowledge about Covid-19 and the level of anxiety get p-value > 0.05 (p = 395) then H0 is accepted, so there is no correlation or no significant relationship. Conclusion: the elderly who have a good level of knowledge with the level of anxiety have no anxiety and there is no correlation or there is no relationship between the level of knowledge about Covid-19 and the level of anxiety in the elderly.
