Ghoniyah N., Rohmania A.S.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of contextual factors, especially financial technology (fintech), inflation, and the reputation of the issuing institution, on the intention to invest in sukuk among Indonesian millennials. Millennial investors, who are identical with technology in every process of their lives, have an important role in developing sukuk investment products and services. In addition, it is important for investors to be aware of other factors such as barriers to inflation and the reputation of the institution. The assumption is that if inflation decreases and the reputation of the institution increases, millennial investors will have the intention to invest in sukuk. This study investigates fintech, inflation, the reputation of the institution which are expected to be considered by investors before investing in sukuk. The topic of millennials investing in sukuk is very interesting to discuss so it needs to be studied more deeply in order to contribute to the development of Islamic financial products and services in Indonesia.
