The Effectiveness of Educational Media About Preeclampsia on Pregnant Women's Knowledge: Literature Review

Abstract
Introduction: Preeclampsia is a condition where blood pressure in pregnant women rises above 140/90 mmHg accompanied by positive proteinuria at 20 weeks' gestation or more. One of the risk factors for preeclampsia in pregnant women is the mother's lack of knowledge. Increased knowledge can be influenced by two factors, first internal factors such as age and gender and external factors such as work, experience, social culture, environment and information sources. Sources of information can be one of the factors in achieving a quality life by providing health education. So treatment is needed by increasing the abilities in knowledge, attitudes and skills of each individual and group in order to achieve a quality life by providing education. Efforts to provide health education can utilize various media to achieve success in providing education. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of education in increasing knowledge among pregnant women about preeclampsia. Method: This article was prepared using the literature review method, selecting literature using a Google Scholar database search using the keywords "educational media", "pregnant women", "knowledge", and "preeclampsia". Literature search using Indonesian and English with publications from the last 5 years. 8 articles were found (7 national articles and 1 international article) with inclusion and exclusion criteria and discussing the effectiveness of educational media on pregnant women's knowledge about preeclampsia. Result: Analysis of several studies explains that educational media is very effective in influencing pregnant women's knowledge about preeclampsia. Conclusion: The use of educational media such as video media, WhatsApp Groups, leaflets, pocket books and E-Booklets as support in providing health education has proven to be effective and is important to help achieve increased knowledge among pregnant women about preeclampsia.
