Efforts to prepare for the mental health of pregnant women: Literature Review

Abstract
Introduction:Pregnancy is a process in a woman's life that causes many changes. These changes are influenced by a number of psychological, social, cultural, and economic efforts that can cause changes in mental health during pregnancy. This is quite dangerous if pregnant women are at risk of experiencing mental disorders. purpose:The aim of the literature review is to analyze efforts to prepare for the mental health of pregnant women Methods:The method used is literature study. The initial search begins by identifying relevant journal articles with keywords (preparing for pregnancy; mental health; support). Search for articles using Indonesian and English through databases such as Google Scholar, Sciencedirect and PubMed limited to the 2018-2023 edition. The articles used in its preparation were 18 national and international articles articles, namely 12 national articles and 6 international articles which were then analyzed thoroughly. Result:The results of the article study show 5 efforts that can be made to prepare for mental health during pregnancy, these efforts include partner support, social support, cognitive counseling, adequate nutrition for pregnant women, and maintaining the diet of pregnant women. Conclusion:Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the occurrence of mental health disorders in mothers during pregnancy is a serious threat. So a mother's mental health during pregnancy is an important preparation. So we must pay attention to efforts to prepare the mental health of pregnant women. The results of the analysis concluded that partner support, social support, cognitive counseling, adequate nutrition for pregnant women, and maintaining the diet of pregnant women can prepare the mother's mental health during pregnancy. Maybe this should attract the attention of midwives, health workers and the government in the future, improving the mental condition of mothers so that every prospective mother has a good pregnancy.
