Abstract

Introduction: Maintaining personal hygiene during menstruation is very important to prevent reproductive healt problems in teenagers. Lack of knowledge about persoanal hygiene during menstruation is often experienced by teenagers who are just experiencing the beginning of menstruation. Objective: Analyze the result of research over the last ten years regarding the relationship between the level of personal hygiene knowl edge and the personal hygiene behavior of adolescents during menstruation. Method: The method used in the research is the literature review method ehere the research critically examines the ideas contained in several studies. The searchh method was carried out using PICO analysis, namely teenagers aged 10-17 years, the intervention was the level of knowledge that teenagers had regarding personal hygiene during menstruation between those who had suffiencient knowlege and those who did not, the results were related to teenagers in carying out personal hygiene during menstruation. This article was searched for in a number of scientific databases such as pubmed and Google Scholar. Result: From the analysis of 10 articles in 6 nationals and 4 international journals, there is a relationship between the level of pe rsonal hygiene knowlwdge and the personal hygiene behavior of teenagers during menstruation. Conclusion: The level of knowledge has a big influence on personal hygiene behavior during mentruation.
