A review of collaborative three Echelon drug inventory model development

Abstract

Inventory systems have developed rapidly within the supply chain framework. One of them is in the drug supply chain. In a decentralized supply chain system, the Q model probabilistic inventory system can be used to achieve local optimality. In a centralized supply chain system, inventory is developed to achieve global optimality, which is better than local optimality in the supply chain framework. To improve the decentralized inventory system, supply chain collaboration methods can be used so that the inventory system can achieve global optimality, just like a centralized inventory system. For efficiency and effectiveness of analysis, segmentation can be performed on drugs using ABC and VED methods. Meanwhile, in addition to minimizing costs and maximizing availability, the performance measure of Inventory Turn Over Ratio (ITO) can be used to indicate profitability.
